Here at Mulligan Recovery Centers, we are driven by a single goal; to care for the whole addict. Addiction is deeper than just drugs/alcohol, from trauma to mental health and everything else in between. We strive to mend past ideologues and build productive relationships to make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

Highlights of Residential Structure
While participating in our residential treatment program, Men and Women in recovery from Substance Use Disorders live in one of several homes in Westminster, MD
Upon admission, clients are provided with Peer Support and a Case Manager in an effort to start the rebuilding process of their lives by getting basic necessities and amenities that will allow them to build a life worth staying clean/sober for. Direct Care provider staff are also available to help clients get oriented into the residential community.
As clients progress through treatment, services are focused on continued engagement and assessment of the stages of change. Evidence-based practices include client- centered counseling, cognitive behavioral counseling, motivational interviewing and problem solving strategies. Self-directed treatment plan goals, focused on the individual’s specific areas of need, are developed for each client. Individualized treatment planning that targets specific needs such as food, clothing, housing, transportation, medical care, mental health care, employment, and education, incentivizes clients to remain in needed treatment, thereby reducing substance use and increasing their chances of continuing their recovery long-term. Therapeutic environments, combined with the evidence based practices employed at Mulligan Recovery Centers assist men and women with how they relate to their environment, improving their recovery, relapse prevention, and emotional coping skills.
Individuals will participate in clinical, therapy and peer led groups while also meeting with their primary counselor on a regular basis for the entirety of their stay in residential treatment. Family counseling is available for parents, spouses and other family members of clients participating in our Long-Term Residential Treatment. Clients are also encouraged by their counselors to build a community of support by attending local 12 Step Meetings (Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous) and obtaining a program sponsor to receive further recovery guidance and support.
Clients can develop and practice their interpersonal and group living skills, strengthen their recovery skills, reintegrate into the community and family and begin or resume employment or academic pursuits. Those who stabilize and meet criteria for stepped down services can be placed in outpatient services or recovery housing services after their completion in Long-Term Residential Treatment. Mulligan Recovery Centers strives to ensure continuity of step down services for all those served.
